Our Mission
Gardner House, Inc. is building a residential reentry and restoration program in Albany, Georgia, where returning citizens find safe housing, healing, and a clear path forward. Guided by the lived experience of founder Jimmie C. Gardner, we make sure coming home never means facing freedom alone.
Help Open A Home For Second Chances
Gardner House is a Georgia 501(c)(3) nonprofit building a residential reentry and restoration program for returning citizens in Albany. We are preparing safe housing paired with individualized support, healing, employment readiness, and genuine community, so coming home means a real place to land. We are not open yet, and every gift moves the $500,000 Founding Campaign closer to opening the first home, where people rebuilding after incarceration can begin again with dignity.
Planned Offerings
A safe home, individualized planning, healing support, practical skills, and community connection, all designed to make freedom sustainable.
Residential Reentry Housing
We are designing a warm, home-like residence where returning citizens can stabilize, rest, and rebuild within a structured 6 to 12 month program.
Individual Success Planning
Each resident will co-create a personal roadmap that connects goals in work, wellness, relationships, and finances with steady one-to-one guidance.
Employment And Life Skills
Planned workshops and coaching will focus on job readiness, financial literacy, and daily living skills so residents can move toward lasting independence.
